Experiencing Life on the Go with the 14” iBook

The 14” ibook comes with all the standard technology of the 12” iBook-along with a few extra punches to make living in the digital age even better. Weighing in at 5.9 pounds, the 14” iBook is only slightly heavier than the 12” model, but it’s still smaller and lighter than most standard textbooks and can easily fit in backpack for true mobility. Unlike the 12” model, the 14” iBook comes equipped with Apple’s SuperDrive, allowing you to burn DVDs on the road.

Standard on every iBook, users will find the entire suite of iLife ’05 applications. This handy suite gives you award winning software from Apple that will have you editing movies, managing digital photos, writing your own music and creating DVD projects in no time. iTunes, iMovie HD, iPhoto, GarageBand and iDVD are all designed to work seamlessly together so that you can get creative and easily merge songs, photos and more together to create your own unique vision.

Surfing the web has never been easier, or faster, with a built-in 56K V.92 model for dial-up connections and 10/100Base-T Ethernet to enable you to surf the web at the speed of light. The newly designed trackpad with scrolling capability allows you to scroll vertically and horizontally as well as providing you with the ability to pan around any active window. You can even customize your trackpad settings.

Designed with a light, but rugged construction, the iBook is built for life on the go. The same material used in bulletproof glass as well as Apple’s Sudden Motion Sensor will protect all your important data-and your iBook. The Senor actually senses change in axis position and accelerated movement, then responds by immediately parking the hard drive heads so that disks won’t be damaged on impact when it senses a drop or fall. As soon as your ibook is level again, the Motion Sensor will automatically unlock the hard drive heads.

Both iBooks are rounded out with standard features such as the Mac OS X Tiger, providing users with access to features like Dashboard and Spotlight. These tools make it easier and quicker for you to locate the information you need in a hurry, both online and on your system, without having to wait for lengthy searches.

With six hours of battery life, the super fast PowerPC G4 processor running at accelerated speeds up to 1.42GHz, along with built-in wireless capability, and up to 1.5GB of memory, the iBook gives you everything you need to do to live life easily on the go in a digital world.
